Its easy when you get the hang of it. It took me several months to "train" myself to do the stuff shown. Once you've "mastered" it , it sticks to you like a bad habit. Results will still vary from each individuals. But everyone will reap the benefits.
About the air filter thingy. Its simply using a spray bottle to water down the filter.Spray generously but not until the filter is all wet. You'll end its useful life prematurely. The reason to it, is to introduce moist air.Similar to water injection. It gives the steam cleaning effect.Economy and cleaned internals.

Open filter cover and spray.thats it. Why on top but not bottom of filter? Bottom is where "raw" air comes.Spray that area and you'll get high chance of clogging as water tend to stick to other materials such as dust particles. On top however is where the air is filtered and the water is "sucked" with the cleaned air into the engine.
It will be leceh at first.Open up everything ,spray, close up again. How much to spray.Cleaning filter more often , bla bla bla. You'll probably won't notice anything in the first few tries. But after a while ,your engine will thank you for that.

Shell will be phasing out formula 92 island wide by end of June this year. Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE) states that using higher octane fuel offer positive effects on fuel economy of up to 4.3%. My question is , how high is high? It also states that using recommended grade of fuel by the car maker will obtain optimal engine effeciency to enjoy greater fuel savings. The car runs fine with the cheap fuel. Why discontinue?
This is a letter I received from Shell regarding my inquiry on why more and more Shell stations are discontinuing Formula 92.
Anybody cared to disclose your side of the story?

The most likely difference is in the pockets.Fuel costs.Eventhough not much between the two,but in the long run ,its very significant.

Loudness, as far as I know only Caltex still offering 92. Furthermore their 92 has the techron cleaning additive in it. Not the usual plain 92. Perhaps you switch to 92.

I don't recall seeing any filters over at mustafa. The last time I went to this stockist at AMK Autopoint. The shop's name is Cartronics. They have a wide range of K&N cone filters. I enquired and was quoted $70. The aunty is a nice japanese aunty. They carry all brands of filters, plugs...etc... Let me check if I can get the exact address for you.. Okay here it is! www.cartronicjapan.com/sitemap.htmCARTRONIC PTE LTD Ang Mo Kio Autopoint #05-04 Blk.10,Ang Mo Kio Ind.,Park 2A Singapore-568047 Once you get the filter, all you need is flexible piping. I got mine in JB. Its corrugated and can be bent any direction. The diameter is huge at 3.5 inches! I have an extra one New In Box. I can sell it to you if you need it.

Want to go to Autopoint for ages but haven't got the time.Bummer.
Thanks a million for your recommendations.I'll know what to do when I need something. I'll chase after you.hehe

Oh there are? I didn't notice they carried K&N filters.
Last sat went to McWell Ventures in ubi. Ended up buying a universal K&N open pod filter. $118 ( I know a bit pricy!) but comes with lifetime free cleaning and oiling service by McWell. So no need to bother buying the cleaning kits.
Just installed it and took a drive. So far so good. No discernable loss of low end torque when compared to my previous closed pod.
Biggest difference is in the sound it produces. A loud sporty growl when I accelerate hard. Under normal driving it sounds more or less as quiet as stock.

Wow.. u changed ur air filter again? Unhappy with ur closed pod? I will be going for my 30000km servicing soon and i guess its time to enquiry about air filter.. might be asking for hurricane stainless-steel air filter And lots of fixing to be done.. doors.. handles.. ignition coil(still cant find replacement) and foglights(my foglight only has 1 side working now) .. maybe its time for some pure WHITE foglights

I changed to the K&N open pod thinking that my closed pod is stainless steel filter. SS filter filtration is not that good. So to protect the engine in the long run I decided to change to K&N filter. Since its oiled, it traps dirt well.
After changing, checked my closed pod and realised that its not SS. Its a dry reusable filter.. made of some cloth or synthetic material. So filtration is actually good.
But nontheless its nice to try something different... just to find out how its like... Now the sound superb! Sporty!
