I cannot say I know everything. There's a lot more that I still know nothing about.
Servicing wise.........I want to DIY,I love to DIY.Given the chance,I'll be down and dirty the moment it arises. Still bound by waranty....ayoyo......
As I said before, glad to help out anyway I can. Afraid of only one thing.Kana charge for molesting other people's car.
J.B. safe or not depends on individuals. As for me ,be safe than sorry.

Strange though,my boot door sounds like a drunk elephant.Only three months old..... ..... Went thru first servicing.Haven't reached halfway to the coffeeshop nearby,my hp rang saying that servicing is done.Wah.....so fast ah. My god...........charged an arm and a leg just for oil change. A few minutes discussing if I can DIY - buy their stuff and doing it on my own.The answer was a big fat ............NO. Reasons - I'll do something wrong lah, very dangerous lah, waranty void lah, lots of BS lah and many other things lah, this lah, that lah.................... What I noticed after the oil change, the engine "purred" instead of the usual "growl".

Haha.. sometimes i even think if they even repaired ur problems at all.. servicing wise actually very fast one.. less than 30mins can finish changing of oil and oil filter .. what takes longer is probably their kopi breaks and maybe some crapping around

The oil they opt to use happens to be the most expensive in the Shell Helix range.
I tried asking before about bringing own oil of choice and letting them do the servicing... the usual crap about warranty arises.
I am surprised that you guys get your car back from servicing that quick. My experience has all been average of about 3 hrs wait. But then again its never only just servicing... I always have some defects thrown in for them to rectify.
Glad your car sounded better after the servicing. Mine produced a ticking valve sound after my first service which never went away. Its definitely coming from the engine but I never reported it to be rectified. Do you guys think its normal or something serious?

Just report everything when u still have ur warranty .. and make sure after u pick up ur car after servicng.. go drive around the neighbourhood just in case =)
I still love the growl of my engine =)

I love the growl too.I kind of missed it when it started to purr.
I guess its true then,...........do things here and there and call it servicing. Center brake lights don't work at all.Rear window water sprayer don't work. The grease on the rollers for the sliding door was cleaned off. They won't shut properly, until I went home and reapplied grease again.
I showed the problems to the tech before I went home. All he said was to send it to Hafei and they'll rectify it.Chery only for engine servicing. Have to wait another Saturday to do it. Driving OPC in times like this is very leceh.

Thats the way they do things. A heartache...
You mean you sent yours to Chery side for the first servicing? I always send the car on a weekday. Drive down after 7pm and leave the car overnight there to let them work on it.
After balancing the wheels twice, i am still suffering from vibrations on the steering wheel when the car hits above 90.
I suspect there is something wrong with the suspension... Some play in the front or something...

Ya....lor.They told me to go there.Just follow lor.
Going there is not a problem. Its the going back time after leaving your car there. Its like CBD area. All the lights are on but nobody there. Only one bus going to Yishun from there.Reached home around 9 plus.Taxis........much better chance catching a bus. That's why I prefer Saturdays as time permits.
From my experiences, the likely cause are the rubber bushings conecting all the suspension parts together.More wear and tear, more play.
Don"t take my word for it.Just my 2 cents worth.
