Oh... there's actually an electronic bible for cars! Hahaha.... I didn't know that. Gonna take a look at that website. Hope to learn more things from there.
Hmmm.... more muscle is always desired ;D Keep us updated on what we can do for our little MinZ for more oomph!

Carbibles.com A place where I go to find answers about my ride and also many other things. The A to Z about anything under the hood. Things that you think didn't existed on your car.Product reviews, the do's and don'ts,plus other helpfull and very useful info on car tuning and maintainence. I strongly recomend this site to everyone. Of course, extra muscle is always desired but fuel economy could be compromised. There is a site called surbo.net Been there a number of times. What I like about it is that its the cheapest performance mod. With desired benefits. That's what it claims. Any comments and feedback? ?

I just read the way Surbo works. The first time I read it, I thought it was very weird. But as I read further it makes logical sense.
But to activate it, will take a second or two I guess? And not instantaneous.. The price is good... Though I have no idea how exactly it looks like.
Now I know how useful a boost gauge is. I don't mind installing one if its reasonably priced and non-intrusive. How much usually does it cost to install it?

A chat with the "surbo" guy told me that Hafei Minz is not yet on his car list. He's more than happy to install it and include it on his car list.
It looks like a tube with fins at one end.Can be installed before or after the air filter. The car should preferbably be in stock condition.Simply "plug and play" method.
What makes me interested is the price, benefits and quite a lot of testimonials.
As for the guage,I wouldn't call it a boost gauge but more of a vacuum gauge. Boost gauges mainly for turbos.
Cost varies among brands.Install depends on how non intrusive you want plus labour charges. For me I prefer DIY.

I finally saw a small picture of the Surbo. Looks longish... Our hose from the airbox to the carb is short. Wonder if the Surbo can fit in.
Oh... I would be interested to watch and learn how you install the vacuum gauge on your own. That would be an educational experience.

The surbo guy says that one size fits all.I wonder how he does it?
I'm really very interested to show how.DIY is like as easy as eating nasi lemak.Just a little bit of knowledge, don't mind getting your hands dirty and basically know what you are doing.
Not just that.I wanna show everything I know from servicing and maintenance, modding (mostly economy) and other bits in taking care of our rides.
Few examples I DIY :engine oil, filter, sparkplugs, coolant, power steering oil, transmission oil, brake oil, pads, calipers, disks, drums, bulbs, simple ICE,simple wheel alignment(mostly camber adjustments)................................. Examples I cannot DIY(but really wanna try) :overhaulin' ,adding turbo/nitrous,pimping............
The reason why I DIY is one thing.Cost savings.I forgot about going to the mechanic years ago.No major problems from my previous ride.I've got all the intention to do the same with my Minz. One problem - must wait till guarantee fininshes before "pimping" my ride.
Later dudes.....................

Few problems though. One person's DIY may not be good for another. Eventhough we drive the same thing, but keep in mind,no two objects or people are alike.
Payment...................? The only payment I really want is gaining experience,a chance to swap ideas, making friends, info exchange.........etc,etc........open mindedness............flare........... Its far more valuable than currency.
Glad to help in anyway I can.

A BIG thank you everyone who took time to actually read my posts.
Will be posting soon on my first servicing experience since I bought it 2 months back.
From what I can see my Minz needs an oil and filter change, center brake lights needs some new leds(some bulbs are not working - probably blown).Other than that , everything's working fine.
BTW,May I know how much for first and subsequent servicing? The operator only knows how to book me space, but knows nothing about everything else.
Thanks in advance.Really appreciate it.

Wah...................so costly.Too bad I'm tied to the warranty. If the warranty was 2 yrs or below I'd simply forgo it and ........... you guessed it .......DIY.Costs less than half of that price.
From the owner's manual I know what grade of oil to use, type of oil filter to use,the exact specs on sparkplugs, fuses, relays, types of aircon gas and aircon oil to use, transmission fluid, brake fluid, even how much tightening force used on all nuts and bolts.
What makes me sad is that I was told that nobody ever reads the owner's manual. I read it.Will my engine explode??

LoL.. DIY still cheapest .. or dont want so much trouble.. can always go across the causeway but the most expense servicing would probably be ur 15k servicing... cost close to $200 .. the rest is about 110++ .. now i do my servicing outside since my 1 year warranty over.. the 3 year warranty on engine.. no use de.. u bring back to them.. they will find fault else where and charge u ...

Ayo............Ayo................vomit blood leh.Bopien and tulan............
"......find fault else where and charge u....." thats unfair and uncalled for.
That little phrase alone tells me that the mechanics there will regard us as a**holes. We know nothing about cars except driving it and crashing it.
I can tell you this .The people in this forum know more about cars than they do.PERIOD.
