Mine is the 13" stock rims as my MinZ was one of the first batches of 1.3 MinZ in singapore. 14" is ideal already.. cant go further than that.. Mike said his 15" will hit the bumper i was thinking of changing the tires to a wider one. currently using yokohama 165 thinking of changing it to 175 or 185. safer. but afraid that the 'mud guard' might kena...

Have just went for a fuel and speed trial for my Minz 1.3 to Muar malaysia on Saturday... Fuel ConsumptionHave travelled a total of 480Km to and froth and this is the fuel consumption data i obtained.. Taking the highway to Muar and taking small route to parit jawa... Travelling at 80-90km/h, overtaking increase to 100-110km/h... Top up V-power (racing) in Malaysia.... Average Result: Highway consumption 13.05km/Litre Normal Roads in Malaysia 11.76km/Litre The figure is obtained over three refill i done in malaysia.. My fuel tank is top up to the neck and tripmeter reset every top up... Just came back from Malacca. I got a similar consumption result. 13.04 Km/L. With 3 passengers and no aircon (aircon was down). Was running about 110 to 120 km/h. Experienced wandering of the car above 90km/hr. And the monsoon winds are blowing perpendicular to the highway. When the car hit a gust can feel the car suddenly veering in the direction of the wind. Pretty scary the first few times but after a while got used to it and learned how to counter the effect.

It wasn't like that before the alignment. Went back to get it re-aligned.. Will test it out when on the NSH.

I just got back from Malacca over the weekend..
A real tough test for the MinZ and its little 1.3 engine..
7 big sized adults (5 "makciks") along with luggage that 7 pple will bring, plus air mattresses, pillows, food to munch on etc..
The boot and every nook and cranny of the car utilised to store the barang-barang. Had to use a cargo net to keep everything in place and allow stacking. Came in really useful!
Filled up full tank at the first Shell after the JB CIQ. A mix of V-power and caltex 98.
Cruising at 120km/hr on NSH to Malacca clocked in 11.4 Km/l. Aircon on at no 2.
City driving within Malacca city clocked a 7.4km/l consumption!
Constantly in btw 2500 - 3500 rpm range and it gave useful power. On the highway 4th gear revved up to 90km/h.
On long up-slopes, pedal to the metal in 5th it maxes out at 100-110 km/hr with the full load.

Impressive fuel economy. Of course the heavier the load the worse the fuel consumption on city roads.
Lostheaven, may I ask i yours a 1.1 or 1.3 version? Thanx

Mine is 1.3 version, but difference in consumption from fit's MinZ is probably the load and aircon was set to low at all times.
If u want to check out our vehicles, u can drop by and meet us on the 10th of May 2009 for a small gathering

Have obtained fuel saving results using a method on usage of aircon while driving.
Of course. Driving with aircon off is the best. If you need to on the aircon, turn off the aircon power switch which cuts off the power to the compressor while doing the following:
1) Before climbing a slope. 2) Before moving off (With or without) load.
Advantage of doing so is that the car have more power while moving while consuming less fuel. While turn off, the fan will still be running to distribute the cold air.
Mileage wise improved about 1km to 11.5 and 11.8km per litre on two of my run. Now i'm running on SPC 92.
Just to share.

My fuel comsumption is still about 10km/l now as my aircon is always on.. so i will be travelling to about 330km before my bar goes to 1 bar red.. currently pumping between esso 95 (13% discount using Esso DBS card) and caltex 95 (12% discount safra card)

Hi
I monitor my fuel consumption recently, after 5-wheel rotation, 2 front tires balancing with filled nitrogen gas.
It did improve a bit from 9-10 to 10-11 km/l with octane 92/95 petrols.

Hi guys , try speed at 60 or 70 km/h , i clock 15.5 km/ lit I believe it can be achieved: (12 - 14 km/l): (1.1 M comes with 8 valves engine, it may consume more patrol, I think. I am using 92 petrol with a FC 10 km/l) 1) I tried using Shell 98 during their Nov 2009 promotion, on my Zotye Trex 1.6M, the FC is 14km/l. I will try it again in my Minz 1.1 M with Shell 98 in next pump, since I have a $6 voucher from them) 2) Inflate tyre with nitrogen gas, after a tyre rotation and balancing. 3) Use 10W - 30SE synthetic engine oil as recommended in user manual.
