V-Power
Tried using it on my MinZ 1.1 M, the findings :
a) I feel a better engine power than using octane 92 and 95 petrols.
b) Better FC at 11.67 Km/l (from 10 km/l using 92/95).

I feel threatened to disclose my findings as the things I know are said to be contraversial. Anyway ,if Men In Black came knocking at my door.I'll probably know where they get their info. On with show and tell. Dum,dum,dum,dum.......................(theme from Jaws) My FC so far still averaging 18 to 20km/litre. Mostly alone, sometimes with load.Still on Shell 95. All on Singapore roads. The thing about octane rating is that from most literature I have read,if your car can go on regular fuel you don't need premium fuel.Waste of hard earned deniro.Unless you've got high compression engine or suffer from detonation. The question is will our simple engines "appreciate" the difference in fuel quality. The answer is believe it or not its minimal.I'm sorry for bursting everyone's bubble ,but the facts are there. So far I don't need premium fuel to go where no man has gone before. I get there by simplifiying everything - follow the roads of least resistance, relax, throw away the "lead foot" syndrome,etc................... Basically ,we drive differently. Each of us have the right to drive any way we please.I just drive differently to get to where all everybody is heading. Aiyah.................talk rot some more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDHwCWdrtdg&feature=related

You're really a night rider. You should join SGHC(Singapore Ghost Hunters Club). At 2 am things usually go bump in the night.
I drive like everybody else ,only a little more boring. Btw,I drive barefoot ALL of the time.It gives me more "feel" so less pressure on the pedals.

Update from my latest NSH run. Fuelled up in KL, went to Putrajaya then to Tuas on a single tank. Filled up 27L of fuel at the last R&R before Tuas second link even though the gauge is showing 4 bars. Speed at 110km/h average with 3 pax and aircon on.
Got 12.46 KM/L on this run with Esso 95.

Hi Guys, I realised that after getting my clutch pad ( Hafei 1.3L) changed, I could get archieved an average mileage of 435km (without aircon turn on most of the time) and I top up to the brim is 29-30 Litres. After calculating, 435/30 = 14.5KM/hr. What you guys think? For 1.3L, Is it fuel saving?

Last week just went to malacca for a one day trip. Before leaving malacca, i filled my car to the brim and pump again at the shell just before 2nd link customs . Filled it back to the same level and it was about 15litres.. total mileage traveled was 207km .. so it comes to about 13.8km/l with aircon on and 7 pax. Back in singapore, i did 360+ before reaching 1 bar red, dont dare to risk it more already. so i guess singapore driving is still back to 10km/l . ekims 14.5km/l is already good, i dont know how those people at sgcarmart get their statistics, they state that our MinZ can go up to 18.1lm/l.

Derrick, Frankly, they,SGCARMART purposely bullnuts so that people will buy from them. From my knowledge,18km/L can be only achieveable by QQ-0.8L and Hybrid Toyota Pirus.

I have driven my 1.3MinZ to Penang for about 3 times already so some tips when driving up north (personal opinions), i am also assuming that its your first time driving up north (pardon me if its wrong). 1) Personally i would suggest signing up with the Automobile Association of Singapore(AAS) in case your car breaks down and need to be towed back.. would be cheaper. forum members like me and fit who visits malaysia once in a while have AA membership already. 2) Bring water, in case your engine overheat. And cloth too, do not open the radiator cap immediately if your engine overheats. (happened to me during CNY, traffic jam then overheated) 3) Drive carefully, respect the road users, keep left when possible, keep right only on overtaking. 4) if you are the only driver, take more breaks in-between, i would suggest stopping at the numerous rest areas along the highway every 1.5-2hours. You may take sometime to reach ipoh, but safety first Look out for signs that says R&R which means there is food & petrol there. 5) Do a pre-trip inspection, check your brakes/tyres/engine oil etc. 6) Maybe some nice music (not too soothing or else fall asleep) and maybe some snacks to keep your energy up. 7) Lastly, have a good rest the night before. Hope this will help you out ^^

Hi Carryonpls, Don't forget to get Cable Jumper if best get a spare battery. if you know how to do a push start when your battery flat then that is ok lah. Get your car service like change oil filter & new fully synthesis engine oil 5W40 (filled specifically 3.5L only) , flush ur coolant out and change to red color Toyota premix coolant. With all this taken care off you can assure a safe drive even to malaysia border without overheat to occur. offcourse, driver also must take good care lah...

Currently had testing on pumping petrol between Caltex and SPC both 95... Can feel the difference between them. For Caltex95, the most i can hit up to 13.8km/L But SPC95, i can only hit ard 10.5km/L and some more when using 2nd gear after a hump in a slow speed, the engine will get a chocking feeling (no strenght). so far for Caltex fuel is ok... SPC every wednesday in Aug using POSB everyday card got 15%+(6%rebate) Caltex starcard 16% (monthly $2 subscription)
