Good day Bros,
Today while topping up petrol at Mobil station along Hougang Ave 3, a mechanic approached me to suggest changing my rims to 15 inch & lower profile (Brand is Bridgestone) tyres.
He quoted me a price of $600 for trading all my four tires.
Just to check; is this a good price?
Thanks, yapfei

15 inch?? wow thought hafei could nt support that big of rims..and would it affect the height of the car..coz im going into 2m multistorey and it almost touches the aerial..so im wondering if changing the size of tyres would affect height and also if it would affect performance and safety

You can try checking ads in Hot Stuff magazine or Straits Times Classified. Alternatively, you can just drop by tire shops and get a quote. Keep us updated

Only difference is the inner diameter for the rim size. I think the fuel consumption would be the same or would be more depending on whether the bigger rims and tires are heavier than the 13 inch ones. I bet that steering will be improved for parking.. Much lighter... The other post I made regarding wheels and ties is very useful and informative. Can read that up to understand more...

I got 15inch rims , may fail inspection as it is protruding slightly but handling is much better now , except a full U-turn , rubber may scrape the body slightly . will downgrade to narrower tires next change

Hi Mike, wow I didn't know that you are on 15" rims... Any pictures of it?
I wonder if they have 15" tires that are narrower and would not cause the tires to rub when at full lock. That would be ideal..

Today my dad pass me a advertisement.. about a place called MotoGard somewhere in tampines.. it says here that rims cost $88 each for a 14" sports rim ... wonder if they are any gimmicks... like tyres not included or something?

Hmm... at $88 I reckon the tires are not included just rims... Think the tires on their own are around that price or more depending on the type and brand. From the gathering, a width of 185 is just a tad too wide and will rub. Width of 175 i think should be just nice and 165's like stock, would be the safest bet. Look forward to your new rims and tires bro!
