okay guys I have the full Hafei parts list with me. Its very comprehensive.... too comprehensive in fact as it includes all of Hafei models! I am in the process of getting quotes for parts prices if shipped in from China. However the price quotes would not mean much if we do not know the prices for parts available from Vertex. So I would appreciate it if anyone who has asked Vertex for the prices of parts to list them here in this thread. Thanks! Fit Hi Fit These are some recent prices from Hafei Service Centre, in case some fellow member need it. a) Slide Door Outer Handle Comp (RH) - $18 b) Door Spring - $2 c) Two Way Connector (Front Windscreen Wiper Spray Nozzle) $3.50

Hi
The MinZ parts will be cheaper (hopefully) in near future.
Ask the agent service advisor for a quote for repair or cost of parts first before order the critical items online, especially those critical parts like A/C compressor, water pump, canister, alternator, wiper motor, etc.
Hopefully, some may be still under 3 years warranty, if it is due to manufacture defects as stated in our original warranty statement, sales brochure and price list. (Friendly or unfriendly speaking, according to common laws, sales agreements, newspaper advertisement, price list, sales brochures as at the time when we made a purchase, plus salesman verbal promises are all formed part of the sales contract.
So no harm go to the agent and ask them to check and quote and request for warranty claims. If no detail is stated in our sales agreement, according to common laws, can refer to industrial or market practices.
Do the required checks and claims before LTA inspection and expiry of 3 years warranty. (Ours is not 1+2 years warranty, we are given 3 years warranty)
Regarding the regular intervals services at agent, in our sales agreement, there are none stated, so they can't use this as an excuse to void your warranty.
Wear and tear items, there is no detail in sales agreement also, so market practice take into effect, that is refering to general wear and tear items like tyre (1 year), filters, oils, air-con systems (1/2/3/5 years), wiper blades, coolants, seals, gaskets and etc.
Major electrical and mechanical components: Refer to power plant and related systems, ECU, Gear Box systems, Fuel systems, all pumps and all motors, axles and shafes and etc.
I do not have a list, but according to the list pasted on the service counter, the major mechanical and electrical components are covered under 3 years warranty. (eg. The list was originally printed with word 'Chery' on it, now, the word is removed)
(This is a list pasted on the counter only, it does not formed part of our Hafei sales agreement, as it does not officially communicated to us at purchase point or subsequenly. Any terms and conditions after purchase point, only can be better but not excluded. (eg. Alternator cannot be exlcuded from 3 years and pasted as 1 year, market practise is 1/3/5 years. A/C can not be pasted as one year, industrial standard is 1/2/3/5 years. We only heard and see the good things).
Body parts : If no detail is specified, that means refering to market practice, external parts like bumpers, external door handles, seat belts, seats and covers, desk boards etc.
Accessories : Market practice is 1/3/5 years.
paint works - No detail was specified, market practice is 1/3/5 years.
The above figures are based on my personal experience gained from my old rides and figures from some car agents of Japanese, Korean, and China made cars.
Note that all the warranty terms and conditions are usually covered by manufacture committment, plus agent top ups, add-ons or backup committments by local distributor, or good will or promotion package.
From the latest promotion of some China Cars and Korean Car, Japanese Cars, you can understand more from it. Just quote a few:
1) Chery promotion of 3+2 years extended warranty with free 3 years services (labor + material) or $1000 free workshop credits.
2) Kia with 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage.
3) Few others like Suzuki and Toyota etc, also have similar promotions, I do not know the detail.
So far I learn that Kia warranty terms and conditions is the best in the market (5 years unlimited mileage, covers almost every thing even the air con and paint works, except those common wear and tear items)
Note that 3+2 years limited mileage extended warranty is not as good as or equivalent to 5 years unlimited mileage.
Similarly, our Hafei 3 years warranty can not be interpreted as 1+2 years extended warranty.

Hi
What I know is :
The A/C - Most agents provides 1 year warranty, Zotye is 2 years, Kia is 3 to 5 years.
Gasket and Rubber Seals/Rings are wear and tear items. Most agent I know, from my old rides, are not covered by warranty. For good will, normally they don't charge material cost. Our agent charge labor and not material as what I experienced and your experience today.
Did they change anything else beside o-ring. I thougt your petrol tank is leak again ? Did they change canister also ?
Sometimes warranty items are changed and not reflected in bills, even the SA also don't know. Some time mechanic forget to inform SA to bill ? or warranty items no charge ? Check your whole fuel systems, the carnister, fuel pipe, did you notice anything looks newer ?

For infomation, I failed my LTA inspection in first attemp because of the back wheel brake systems are less efficient. May be tomorrow you ask agent to check the brake system if you have not service your brake before, need to clean and adjust. I got it done by Autobacs, they charge me $38 only. You also can get pre-vehicle-inspection check at Autobacs Ubi, they have this package done for $38. Just tell them you are going for inspection. Good night or good morning.

Yeah Sadiq, agree with Vin regarding your speedo problem. Since the car is still there might as well ask them to check. But you told me that the speedo is working again at the moment so it will be difficult to get them to check. I am pretty sure they will just shrug it off and say " hey its working now.. i ain't gonna check it. Come back when its not working." Vin, what did Autobacs do to solve the rear brake issue? I believe the rear brakes are the handbrakes? Because on mine, the hand brakes needs adjustment from time to time.. the adjustment tends to run over time resulting in higher hand brake positions. Once adjusted, just a short pull and the handbrakes are solid.

I believe the rear brakes are the handbrakes? Because on mine, the hand brakes needs adjustment from time to time.. the adjustment tends to run over time resulting in higher hand brake positions. Once adjusted, just a short pull and the handbrakes are solid. Autobacs opened the back wheel housings, chemical washed it many times, adjusted the springs (with a screw driver) in rear wheel housing, check brake pads, can't see clearly from behind the viewing windows from the waiting areas. It is not hand brake as Vicom checked and told me the rear brake system were not 100% efficient. Left side is worst than right side. After brake adjustments done by Autobacs, I sent my MinZ for Vicom re-inspection on the same day's afternoon. I passed the vehicle re-inspection in 2nd attemp within the same day. For information, I find sending our MinZ to Vicom Kakit Bukit (earlier in the morning) is the best, we can move around between Vicom/Vertex/Autobacs to get minor repairs done quickly and re-send the vehicle for re-inspection, within the same day. I believe we can send to any workshops nearby and authorise the workshop to do re-test for us. I remember Stars Auto can do it for customers for LTA inspections, annual seal inspection etc. I should had sent my MinZ to Autobacs as planned, for a pre-inspection package @$38, and detected this problem before hand and this could have saved me re-inspection fee of $31.03. That is why I advise all to go for a pre-inspection package @$38 at Autbacs Ubi before the actual inspection date and save the trouble subsequently in re-inspection (Wast time and money). Note: This was the first time in my life failing my vehicle inspections, very 'embarassed' as the fact that the passing rate is about 95-97% for the first attemps. don't know the other 3-5 % how many are China Cars. Most probably, I was the first 'MinZ victim' in Singapore. Sadiq and me may be is the first batch of MinZ owners in Singapore, being registered in July 07 after many COE bids ( I remember it was after bidding of 5-6 times, COE floating around $14K to $15K)
