Hi
For info, I have bought an arm rest storage box, quit similar to the one shown in the Taobao web page, from Autobacs Ubi in December 09, for $12.85, in black color, made in Taiwan. (will check if they still have stock).
Also, I had bought one very short external antenna from Autobacs Ubi at $3.21, about 10 cm height or less, and one steering wheel cover for $5, fitted nicely into my Minz steering wheel.
I checked a few days ago, they still have stock. Any one interested may go there and get one. (another one even shorter at <$3, I think it is =< $2.80).
It can fit onto my Minz roof top , Now I can pass thru 2m carpark (eg. Ikea Alexandra car park and some 2m HDB car parks) with the short antenna on.
May be we should open a section ($hop and $ave) for items found suitable for Minz owners and inform the rest.

Hi I have visited the website this morning, quit exited to learn that they have most of the parts we needed for Minz. Any one know whether they will ship to Singapore ? Must we pay Singapore tax and GST ? We have actually bought parts from the china sites before thru a local "middleman" .. no tax or GST as it is classified as "gifts" .. only thing is that the middleman charges shipping fees instead Wow..autobac has finally stock armrest? The last time i heard, bro fit paid $60 for an armrest at autobacs Hi For info, I have bought an arm rest storage box, quit similar to the one shown in the Taobao web page, from Autobacs Ubi in December 09, for $12.85, in black color, made in Taiwan. I took out my antenna since day1 .. using those receiver that is placed on the windscreen.. so no worries about any carpark (except below 1.9m) went to century auto to get my speedometer checked.. wiring ok,the guy said my speedo spoil alrdy..he say can fix but 120rm..abit ex for me.. anyone knows if i can get a new speedometer? If you want a original one.. its either order online or get it back at the "scam shop" hafei ... or maybe look for some similar type?

Oh whats wrong with your speedometer?
RM120 hard to say its expensive or not. You try asking what is wrong with it and what needs to be done to solve it.
Secondly you can ask around at other shops and compare the price.
Check taobao and see how much it is for a new speedo.

Hi
I browsed thru this online auction site and have the following points to share:
1) A few items worth consider, like back spoiler, door proctection side panels, high tension cables to spark plug, spark plugs, steering wheel with big one peice center horn button etc.
2) May be gaskets for engine blocks and head light assembly.
3) I saw most of them carry no warranty, so we may only like to consider those items unlikely to have defects , or very cheap and worth taking a risk.
4) Read carefully the track records (eg. how many items had been sold) and user comments and feedback, and item description before you deciding to purchase. Ask questions if in doubts).
5) Don't consider those items that is not approved by LTA to install locally (eg. The back bumper added-on protection steel bar).
6) Some items like big engine parts, gear box parts, must check whether it is taxable locally before go ahead to purchase. (If I am not wrong, it is taxable. Any one can share on this point ?).
7) Finally, check the items and find whether we can get it locally at the same cost.
8) There is one item called computer black box (like a computer harddisk), quite interesting, any one ever seen it in our hafei engine bay ?
How good if we can travel to China and visit the Hafei part stockists, browse and purchase some parts and ship it back here.

please allow me to make some suggestions,
1. For those with time and computer-savy knowledge, determine, Number of Minz Owners in this Forum and in Singapore
2. Work-out, estimate in an eXcel File, the various items that has to be replaced on a regular basis,..and multiply this by, say 2,..3,..5 years.
What is the investment ? Does Anyone have the Storage facility in Singapore ? (maybe I have)
Let's join our little resources together, and do our own Hafei-parts importation biz'.
From the way things are going,..I anticipate the following,..
- Vertex-SG WILL continue to increase prices (to cover-up for lossess from failing sales),..and it will try to find someone else to take over this Agency,....
-..and if Mr. Sng's plans fail,..He will simply abandon the brand,...declare company bankrupt, and walk away
If We do not do anything to anticipate this course of future events, there may be a day when we will be held at ransom, to buy parts at their prices (which is Bloody f**king high) , not the market / ours.
Watdaya all think ? email me privately at searth63@yahoo.com for other inputs
Thanks
